Kate Labs have announced the avail­ab­ility of Frame 1.0, a cross–platform applic­a­tion designed for testing digital cam­eras, and lenses. Frame can ana­lyse exposure, noise, dynamic range, colour sens­it­ivity, res­ol­u­tion, and vignetting.

If you have ever attempted to cal­cu­late this kind of inform­a­tion your­self, you’ll know how wel­come an applic­a­tion like this is. I have per­son­ally con­ducted exposure ana­lysis earlier this year. It would have been abso­lutely won­derful to have used this applic­a­tion then.

I will be con­ducting some new camera tests during the next few weeks, so I plan to down­load a trial ver­sion for that. As soon as I have spent some time with the applic­a­tion, I will post a review here.
